Wine Spirit is the name of pure ethanol, 95% - 98% vol., tasteless.
Most common is the concept of alcohol as a trade term, comprised of the brandy-tax organization.
Wine Spirit has nothing to do with wine or spirit.
Wine spirit means spiritus (Latin "spirit") as a commercial term for alcohol.
Instead of the concepts of spirits or wine spirit, however, mostly in the commercial usage, the word "raw spirit" is used
